Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join eCorrugated Limited, a corrugated packaging manufacturing company.

We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. As the Electrical Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include making sure machinery and equipment runs smoothly. You will work in manufacturing as well as facilities maintenance ensuring the equipment/assets are consistently in optimum running condition. Your work will include preventative & breakdown maintenance. You will be required to record all maintenance activity on the Maintenance Management System. You will effectively service and repair the machinery equipment and assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerised systems.

The Role:



Perform maintenance checks at regular intervals and act preventively to avoid situations arising that may compromise the proper functioning of machinery and equipment, e.g., replacing worn components, lubricating gears, motors, pumps and mechanical moving parts, changing out worn parts, calibrating machine sections and replacing filters, gears, valves and cables.

Completion of periodic safety & quality inspections. Recording maintenance activity
. o Devising effective maintenance methods, identifying and investigating faults, repairing equipment, upgrading and modifying systems, monitoring the performance of machinery and systems. Analysing the efficiency of current procedures and recommending improvements.

Breakdown response, with the aim to get the equipment operational in the quickest time possible, ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are adhered to. Acquiring parts along with new components, fitting and calibrating new parts and systems, inclusive of replacing parts according to schedule, ensuring all systems comply with the latest health and safety legislation, liaising with colleagues as well as suppliers.

The Ideal Candidate:



Knowledge of corrugated packaging manufacturing machinery including Emba/Mosca/Bobst or similar would be advantageous. Technical/process skills are required. o Knowledge of automated conveyor systems. An engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, 18th Edition) an advantage but not essential. Health, safety and environmentally conscious. Takes independent action to identify, recommend and implement initiatives to support the business. Is prepared to be flexible & work the hours needed to cover and manage the shifts. A skilled communicator that, can practice open and honest communication with others to achieve a 'win-win' situation whilst maintaining an effective relationship. Adeptly prioritises and reprioritises workload to meet the critical needs of the business. Goes the extra mile to meet/exceed business needs. o An excellent remuneration package aligned to experience/knowledge/qualifications. o Twenty-five days annual leave (plus public holidays) o Working a flexible day shift/ two-shift system with some weekend maintenance.
