We are hiring a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to deliver scheduled electrical maintenance at an active manufacturing site in South Wales. You'll be contracted directly, with support from our site-based engineer, and will play a key role in keeping plant systems safe and operational through regular PPM activity and electrical checks.
This role requires someone confident in isolations, minor repairs, and fault logging within a structured maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative electrical maintenance (PPM) across site systems and equipment
Inspect, test, and maintain panels, control gear, isolators, and general low-voltage systems
Log faults using the CMMS or report directly to the site engineer or client point of contact
Carry out routine checks and electrical isolation in accordance with safety procedures
Work independently or alongside mechanical colleagues as part of a multi-skilled team
Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults, suggesting maintenance optimisations, and contributing feedback to improve task planning and reliability
Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to site permit and H&S protocols
Requirements
Recognised Level 3 qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365/2330) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification
Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or process plant setting
Confident with safe isolation, routine fault finding, and interpreting schematics
CMMS familiarity or strong ability to document and communicate faults effectively
