to join our dedicated Site Engineering Team. In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with our Production, Quality, and Fabrication departments to ensure that all plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. This includes planned maintenance, repairs, and both mechanical and electrical installations across the site.
The primary goal is to maximise equipment availability, enhance product quality, and maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical planned maintenance and repair tasks to ensure high equipment reliability and performance.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Computer literacy
Proactive approach to Health & Safety
Technical experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
Ability to interpret general, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic engineering drawings.
Minimum HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
Familiarity with health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
Ensure all plant and equipment comply with current legislation, HS&E standards, group procedures, and business requirements.
Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to develop and maintain effective maintenance schedules, manage critical spares, and oversee SLAs and service visits.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in conjunction with the Plant Engineer and Site Services Manager.
Accurately report all maintenance activities
Communicate effectively with the Engineering team to ensure thorough shift handovers.
Actively participate in Root Cause Investigation (RCI) teams to promote continuous improvement.
Raise issues and initiate parts replacements.
Monitor equipment performance and assist in resolving recurring faults through design improvements.
Support the training and development of new staff
Assist with installation and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
Verify maintenance and installation work meets operational and legislative standards.
Supervise contractor activities within your area of responsibility.
Support the implementation of site systems and procedures aligned with company health & safety, quality, and environmental policies.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company policies, including the Code of Conduct.
