Electrical Manager
to lead our electrical team and ensure excellence in design, compliance, and project delivery.
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage a talented team of electrical engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Oversee the electrical design process for commercial solar PV and battery storage systems, including load assessments, cable sizing, protection design, and grid connection applications.
Ensure all designs and installations comply with UK regulations (BS 7671, G99, IEC standards) and health & safety requirements, including CDM regulations.
Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, and regulatory bodies to manage grid connections and compliance matters.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure systems perform at peak efficiency.
Provide technical oversight of electrical drawings, schematics, and system layouts, while supporting project managers, designers, and clients throughout each project.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in electrical management, with strong knowledge of electrical design principles, system integration, and UK compliance standards.
Familiarity with grid connection processes (G99/G100), DNO liaison, and electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, PVSol, Amtech, or similar. Recognised electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing).
Strong understanding of health & safety standards, risk assessments, and CDM regulations.
Full UK driving licence.
