Job Title: Electrical Operations Manager

Salary: 70,000 - 80,000 (dependent on experience) + Negotiable

Car Allowance: 6,600 annually

Pension: 6% contribution Health Care Plan: Couple coverage

Life Insurance: 4x salary

Holidays: 25 days + 8 statutory days

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

is partnering with a leading national M&E contractor specialising in the Rail, MOD, and Food Processing sectors. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Electrical Operations Manager to lead electrical projects, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Role Overview:

As the Electrical Operations Manager, you will oversee electrical project operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution. You will be responsible for managing project teams, maintaining client relationships, and achieving profit and loss (P&L) targets while adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: o Lead the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects. o Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. o Ensure compliance with BS 7671 and NICEIC standards. o Collaborate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions. Team Leadership: o Manage and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors. o Forecast labour requirements and allocate resources effectively. o Drive staff development initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning. Client Management: o Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships. o Address project concerns proactively and identify opportunities for repeat business. Compliance & Safety: o Ensure all work meets relevant codes and standards (BS 7671, NICEIC). o Conduct routine inspections and audits to uphold safety protocols. o Implement the latest industry updates to maintain compliance. Financial Management: o Develop strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs. o Monitor financial performance and align project objectives with business goals. Estimating & Tendering: o Review project specifications and produce accurate cost estimates. o Present quotations to clients, emphasizing value-added solutions. Industry Expertise & Innovation: o Identify areas for process improvement and introduce innovative solutions. o Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies.
Qualifications & Experience: o Apprentice-trained in Electrical Engineering/Installation. o 10+ years of experience in electrical installation and project management (FMCG sector preferred). o Certifications: 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations, HNC Electrical Engineering, SMSTS/SSSTS. o Demonstrated financial management skills and strong leadership capabilities.
