Job Description

This is an opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to oversee, manage and deliver HV/LV power distribution projects through construction, commissioning, handover & closeout. The role will involve planning and coordinating electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical & quality assurance and project deadlines. In addition to a strong technical experience in electrical engineering you will possess good project management skills and be able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams.



Responsibilities



Onsite liaison with contractors to deliver schedule and contract deliverables Oversee site operations ensuring construction works are carried out to high standards of quality and safety. Be responsible for short-term programming and sequencing of works aligned to the main Programme. Ensures timely and concise project reporting, working with project controls professionals to facilitate the management of their projects and comply project governance procedures Support project manager with day-to-day management and coordination between construction team, engineering and operations, ensuring permits, RAMS, QA documents are in place and completed as relevant to your works. Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, Quality Manager and Construction Manager to ensure that all works meet the Quality and HSE / CDM requirements. Work in conjunction with Project Manager and Lead PT&H Engineer for coordination of commissioning and handover activities Participate in the process of putting teams to work playing an active role and delivering Start on Site briefings and inductions as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Electrical engineering experience Able to support, coach and lead a team of engineers, supervisors and partners to achieve your teams tasks. Passionate about improving performance identifying opportunities to improve our quality and productivity through best practice, process improvements and continuous improvement practices. Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment. Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do
Desirable


Prior experience in Electrical Engineering/Infrastructure projects with some knowledge and experience with regards to HV Electrical Distribution networks. Knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline within the Nuclear sector Experience of working in a multi-discipline teams

Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Relevant CSCS Card
