Lead the electrical systems delivery for a secure custodial facility, overseeing the complete lifecycle from design through to commissioning and handover. This role involves managing both new installations and ongoing maintenance within a high-security environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
Manage the electrical scope of works, ensuring all installations meet design specifications and are completed on time and within budget.
Team Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical subcontractors and in-house teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to project timelines.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations, including BS 7671, and maintain high standards of health and safety on site.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including facilities management and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the facility's operations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, change logs, and compliance documentation, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years as an Electrical Project Manager, with experience in custodial or high-security environments preferred.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
Valid ECS/CSCS card.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance.
