About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our service department, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and installation of textile manufacturing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys working independently and providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Repair: Diagnose, repair, service, and install textile manufacturing equipment at customer sites and in-house

Customer Support: Provide technical telephone support and liaise effectively with customers to resolve equipment issues

Technical Expertise: Offer expert advice to colleagues and customers on parts, equipment specifications, and technical solutions

Time Management: Manage your workload independently, including maintaining accurate service records and scheduling

Problem-Solving: Work autonomously to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Equipment You'll Work With

Steam equipment, industrial irons, and portable steam generators

Textile cutting machines (Eastman Straight Knives and various models)

Fusing machinery and laminators (multiple makes and models)

Spreading machinery (various makes and models)

Essential Requirements

Strong electrical knowledge and diagnostic skills

Proven experience in service, repair, and installation of industrial equipment

Ability to work independently without supervision

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Valid UK driving licence (travel to customer sites required)

Desirable Experience

Previous experience with textile manufacturing equipment

Background in fusing machinery, spreading equipment, or cutting machines

Experience in the garment manufacturing industry
