Job Description

We are an innovative electrical contractor working soley in the private care sector with experience of completing over 400 care projects to date.

Based in Cheshire, but with sites across the country, we have a Site Supervisor role for a care home currently in construction in Stafford. Start date immediate, due to complete summer 2026 with the potential to progress to another one of our sites.

Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Working Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3 electricians/improvers, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both team members and head office management.

Key Responsibilities:



Project Planning and Coordination

: Work with the Main Contractor programme to ensure the installation is on time and coordinated with the relevant trades. Setting out, first fix, second fix, and involvement with test and commission required. Coordinate with our mechanical partner, to ensure seamless integration of the electrical installation. Receiving of deliveries on site, organised into site cabin.

Installation and Maintenance:

Provide a high standard electrical installation, assist with testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and guide electricians and other team members. Monitor progress and address any issues that arise during the project. Report back to the Operations Manager on a regular basis. Attend site meetings.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure adherence to safe practices and complete qualit assurance worksheets for handover of completed areas.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

Address technical issues and provide solutions to maintain project timelines.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of project progress and electrical installations. Work with the Operations Manager to prepare progress reports in readiness for our monthly applications.

Key Requirements:



Experience:

Experience in managing electrical installations in construction projects. Proven track record of leading teams and delivering projects on time. Ideally has experience with the new build care sector- these are not hospitals, hotels or housing.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in methodical electrical installation- testing and commissioning are a bonus. Knowledge of regulations related to electrical safety and construction. Must be competent in using a tablet on site for digital timesheets, reporting and emails

Leadership and Communication:

Strong leadership skills to manage and guide your team. Foster a collaborative work environment. Able to get on with the Site Manager and Contracts Manager and work well under pressure in readiness for practical completion. Liaise with management to report on project status and resource needs.

Innovation:

Ability to develop innovative solutions to meet project requirements- think outside the box and see the bigger picture.

Safety and Compliance:

Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulations. Experience in conducting toolbox talks, ladder inspections and implementing corrective actions if required.

Requirements:



18th Edition SSSTS ECS 3 day First Aid Experience of ProCore would be ideal, able to use Exel, Projects and Outlook Clean, tidy and presentable

Experience



Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry is essential, ideally experience working on a care home site Strong background in managing teams effectively, with excellent organisational skills. Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the industry. Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
