We are seeking a dedicated Electrical and/or Mechanical Manufacturing Technician to join our assembly production team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing processes, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Assembly of electrical distribution and switchgear panels in line with company quality standards.
Record production data accurately, including operational parameters and quality metrics.
Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians or engineers.
Maintain a clean, organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations. Assisting with general house keeping of the manufacturing workshop.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and participating in team meetings.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience or relevant training in manufacturing, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and process adherence.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical is advantageous.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving manufacturing technologies.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in manufacturing or engineering are desirable but not essential.
May suit individuals with previous metalwork experience or background.
Previous experience in electrical or mechanical assembly and manufacturing is a distinct advantage.
