Role Overview:



We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Electrical Systems Lead to oversee and drive the development and operational excellence of the electrical systems within our CCTV towers. This role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on electrical knowledge, an interest in renewable energy, and a desire to make a real impact on product innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:



Development of Electrical Systems:



Lead improvements and innovations in the solar array design and integration. Enhance energy production capabilities and optimise energy flow in off-grid tower systems. Minimise electrical consumption of the CCTV tower units without compromising performance.

Battery Systems Management:



Oversee charging cycles, capacity performance, and health of battery systems. Implement and monitor strategies to extend battery lifespan and maintain quality. Manage battery inventory and stock, ensuring readiness for rapid deployment and replacement.

Technical Support & Operations:



Act as the go-to technical authority for electrical queries both internally and externally. Support the customer service team with electrical-related diagnostics and issue resolution. Assist in training field engineers and installers on best practices related to electrical and battery systems.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:



Work alongside R&D and operations to continuously improve electrical efficiency and product design. Maintain compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. Provide insights and input on procurement of electrical components and future proofing technologies.

Requirements:



Strong background in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with solar power systems, battery management, or low-voltage electronics. Ability to balance technical development with practical field realities. A problem-solver who takes ownership of systems and is excited to innovate. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable (Not Essential)



Familiarity with CCTV systems or security industry technology. Experience working in field-based, off-grid, or temporary power environments. Understanding of sustainability practices and carbon efficiency.
