Job description:
We are seeking an Electrical Team Leader Qualified Supervisor. In this role, you will supervise a team of electricians and apprentices, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle chargers, solar panels, batteries and other renewable technology, predominantly in commercial settings. You will ensure that performance is consistently achieved and maintained in line with service excellence and legislative standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical installations in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Reviewing, validating, and approving electrical certification completed by other electricians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Performing work-in-progress inspections and conducting site visits with electricians.
Conducting post-completion inspections, working closely with electricians to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Performing electrical testing, including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) when required.
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems, identifying and rectifying any faults or issues in accordance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Carry out routine maintenance of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairing faults to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain accurate records of all inspection and testing activities, completing necessary documentation and reports as required.
Liaise with clients and team members to provide clear communication on project progress, ensuring client needs and expectations are met.
Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, including health and safety standards.
Motivating and leading the team to uphold standards and implement company policies and procedures.
Coaching and advising our team on safety and quality control, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and legislation.
Identifying and addressing safety issues.
Managing conduct, operational, and regulatory risks, escalating issues as necessary.
Requirements:
Fully qualified electrician with a valid ECS Gold Card able to work without supervision.
Proficiency in testing and inspection, holding a certification in this area.
Strong understanding of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Technology adept, able to learn new software promptly.
A clean valid driving license.
Experience:
Commercial 3 Phase and Electrical Containment Knowledge - Minimum of three years experience (Essential)
Inspection and testing : 1 year (Qualification Essential)
EV Charger Installation : 1 year (Essential)
Solar PV & Battery Storage Installation: 1 year (Essential)
