About the Electrical Technician Role:



As a key member of a manufacturing team, our technicians will primarily be responsible for assembly and wiring of electrical control & switchgear panels for industrial applications. You'll be a time served tradesman with pride in your work, a desire to learn and develop with constantly evolving technology.

Requirements of the Electrical Technician:



Essential Experience:



Experienced of reading, understanding, interpreting electrical circuit drawings and assembly working to details on drawings:

o Electrical power circuits, PLC Control circuitry

o Circuit protection, Switchgear / Busbar assembly,

o Electrical circuit testing.

o Wire looming, EMC segregation

Highly skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.

Ability to plan and lay out work.

A proven competence for precise assembly work.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality.

Preferred additional skills:



Experience of site installation, cabling and glanding could also be beneficial at times.

Mechanical assembly & Machine building experience would be a bonus.

Leadership, ability to teach, motivate and challenge peers and apprentices to be the best they can be and to instil in them a pride in their work and passion to produce quality work.

Attitude and ability are as important as experience, so a quick learner with most of the above experiences will be of interest.

While the role is mainly workshop based there is a requirement to go on site for installation work. The sitework is mostly local to Angus/Dundee/Aberdeen but there may be a requirement to travel further than this.
