We are now recruiting for an
Electrical Technician
to join our team.
Working as part of the electrical production team, you will be responsible for the fault finding and diagnostics and wiring of our ground support equipment including our EV (Electric Vehicles) on the factory production lines. Programming and product software uploading and testing. Sign off of electrical installation and liaise with customers when carrying out PDI checks and testing.
Working on own initiative and as part of a team, your main duties will include;

Wiring of production plants on the assembly lines assisting with the fitting of electrical systems trouble shooting software problems and electrical faults.
Cataloguing and analysing system non-performances.
Ensure all paperwork is up to date, completed and filed.
Actively minimise plant downtime in support of production by responding quickly to production line breakdown situations when required.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Involved in driving product and supplier electrical quality improvement.
Liaise on an on-going basis with Supervisors, Managers, and team members
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Any other duties as required by the production manager to suit business needs.
Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and tidy works area
Experience and Qualifications:
A Third Level Electrical Engineering Qualification or Vocational Time Served Electrical Qualification.
Experience of 3-phase AC and 12-24VDC electrical control systems
Ability to read, understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
Experience of electric system installation and wiring on plant equipment in a high-volume production environment
A full driving license.
A 'can do' attitude and ability to interact with a multifunctional team
Desirable
Ideally you will have knowledge of mains AC and automotive DC electrical and hydraulic schematics and significant experience of electrical fault finding and diagnostics within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment would be advantageous as well as hydraulic pumps and valves.
Experience in electrical drawing packages i.e. Auto Cad, Cleo, Solid works electrical, Eplan. Ability to change/update where required.
