Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The ideal applicant will possess strong electrical experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with schematic diagrams and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Duties



Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools. Repair or replace faulty components, including wiring, circuit boards, LV/HV systems and PLC modules. Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and upgrades in accordance with industry standards. Use AutoCAD software to assist in designing or modifying electrical layouts and schematics. Use of computerised maintenance management systems and other plant software packages. Support plant outages working with operations and engineering teams and sub - contractors. Collaborate with engineering team to coordinate maintenance activities and system upgrades. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately for record-keeping purposes. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required.

Qualifications



Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role within process industrial environments. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and PLC programming. Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing and interpreting electrical layouts. Mechanical knowledge relevant to electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience with preventative maintenance programmes and repair procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent are preferred. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-48,000.00 per year
