A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Technician to join our team at West Burton Energy CCGT Power Station.





The successful candidate will ensure the safe completion of routine maintenance, new installations and fault finding of Electrical assets within an industrial environment.



Hargreaves Industrial Services (HIS) provide a varied Operations and Maintenance service to our client at West Burton Energy Power Station.

The role briefly encompasses the following:



Work to Work Order Card and associated Risk Assessment / Method Statement. Report discrepancies between written work instructions and activity carried out.


Good Communication skills - work in a multi disciplined team, report incidents and provide feedback when required


Have a positive safety attitude and adhere to site procedures.


Carry out installation, Maintenance of Electrical Equipment.


Carry out Planned Maintenance as per Operation Manual Schedules.


Carry out Examinations, Inspections and Recording Results of Electrical Equipment.


Ability to carry out fault finding and repairs on Electrical assets including motors, switchgear, valve actuators and site lighting.


Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)


Familiar with and able to operate workshop equipment and tools as required and complete relevant


Documentation Recording HAVS.


Actively look for ways to improve service.


Attending the Clients Safety Tour and Mandatory Training.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:-

Essential

Completed a recognised Apprenticeship or can demonstrate equivalent experience working on industrial electrical installations


Understanding of 18th edition of Electrical Installations Regulations.


Be familiar with 3-phase industrial systems


NVQ Level 3 or equivalent


Experience of fault diagnostics and repair solutions.


Knowledge of electrical plant (including working within DSEAR zones).


Safety passport or equivalent


Experience in an industrial engineering environment.

Desirable

(Training Maybe Provided)


Experience of Electrical systems typically found in a conventional CCGT power plant.


COMPEX certificate is desirable (if not qualified, training may be provided).


ONC (or equivalent academic qualification) in an Electrical relevant discipline.


IOSH - Working/Managing Safely Certificate. (Training will be Provided).


Knowledge of fire alarm systems.
