Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.





We have an opportunity in Dunbar for an Electrical Technician to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.





The salary for this role will be

47,239

per year and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for delivering the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans, working to a high standard and in a cost-effective manner. They will also be responsible for planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work and be responsible for delivering improvement projects leading to increased plant reliability and cost reduction.



Undertaking assessments of malfunctioning equipment and being able to provide advice to the site management team will be part of this role. It is essential for our Electrical Technician to possess excellent communication and diagnostic skills, as well as the ability to think logically and decisively to provide required solutions in order to minimise down time and meet production demands.


Our ideal Electrical Maintenance Technician will have:




NVQ Level 3 in Electro-Technical Installations or equivalent discipline

or

City & Guilds 2365-2 (Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations)

or

City & Guilds 2357-3 (Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnology) City & Guilds 2382-15 (17th Addition, IEE wiring regulations). Full driving licence Experience of carrying out electrical maintenance on a fast-paced manufacturing/ production plant Knowledge of CMMS and electrical systems. Good understanding of a proactive maintenance strategy and condition monitoring
