About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our growing team. This is a varied role involving the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of condition monitoring equipment across a range of industrial environments. The position requires flexibility, with regular site work, customer meetings, and periods working away from home (including offshore).
This role is ideal for someone with a strong industrial electrical background who is looking to expand their skills into condition monitoring technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and maintain condition monitoring equipment at customer sites.
Carry out routine condition monitoring surveys.
Attend site surveys and customer meetings to understand requirements and feed back to the project team.
Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics.
Complete site documentation, reports, and updates for project records.
Work safely in line with company procedures, completing risk assessments and method statements as required.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Be willing to continuously develop technical skills in emerging monitoring technologies.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial electrical installations and maintenance.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
Computer literate - proficient with Excel, Word, and general IT systems.
Strong problem-solving ability with good communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel, work offshore, and stay away from home when required.
Capable of working both alone and as a team.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Offshore experience (BOSIET/MIST/medical).
CompEx certification.
Panel building and wiring experience.
Understanding of partial discharge testing.
Knowledge of vibration analysis techniques.
Level 1 thermography certification.
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
