Electrical Technician - Team Leader

Full time, permanent position available with an immediate start.

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm. Fridays 7:30am - 4pm.

Due to company growth are looking for an experienced

Electrical Technician - Team Leader

to join our production environment. We are looking for an individual who has experience working with single and multi-axis control systems, as well as leadership skills and qualities.

About the Role:



As an

Electrical Technician - Team Leader

, you'll take ownership of the electrical assembly process - leading a team of technicians, managing workload priorities, and ensuring that all machinery and control panels are built to the highest standard. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial wiring, looking to step into a position of technical and team leadership.

Duties:



Allocate tasks, set priorities, and manage day-to-day workload for a small team. Ensure adherence to electrical schematics, safety standards, and build quality. Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to meet deadlines. Carry out quality checks, fault-finding, and testing of electrical systems. Drive continuous improvement in workshop practices and efficiency. Act as the go-to technical point of contact for electrical assembly. Report to the Director of Engineering.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:



Possess working knowledge or drives and control systems. Have the skills to conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial plant and equipment. Be able to analyse, assess and identify faulty parts. Be able to rewire faulty electrical systems. Work as part of a team or by themselves using their own initiative to find and repair faults in electrical systems. Have experience in control panels and or machine wiring. Be able to collaborate with engineers to deliver bespoke solutions.

Essential Attributes:



Honesty and reliability. Proven experience of working with drives and controls. Diagnostics. Excellent communication skills. Flexible approach to working hours.
Holiday entitlement - 20 days + 8 bank holidays (+1 birthday holiday).

The company has a shutdown over the Christmas period.
