Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities:
Tests, inspects and simulates electrical control equipment to ensure it meets with the customers requirements and the intended designs created by our electrical design engineers.
Electrical Test Engineer Job Duties:
Inspects physically, electrically and mechanically to ensure all control equipment is fitted and wired to the manufacturer's guidelines.
Checks that all protective devices are appropriate and adequate for the application and in accordance with the schematic drawings and any specification requirements.
Checks that all conductor sizes and colours are as per the customers' requirements in relation to varying specifications and in accordance with our schematics.
Setup any programmable equipment to allow the necessary simulations and tests to be carried out.
Capable of using varying digital test equipment to perform the required tests and ensure the results are recorded and in accordance with the expected results.
Fill out the required documentation for the job and any further documentation required that is in accordance with our ISO9001 quality management system.
Interact with the design team and the production team to ensure all necessary standards are maintained through the production phase to ensure our quality and standards that we come to expect are maintained throughout.
Electrical Engineer Skills and Qualifications:
Electronic Systems, Electrical Troubleshooting, Electronic/Electrical Testing, Project Management, Quality Focus, Analysing Information, Reporting Research Results, Attention to Detail, Emphasizing Excellence, Innovation.
City & Guilds 2360 Part 2 & 3, NVQ Level 3, Foundation degree, HNC or similar in Electrical Engineering and 17th/18th Edition Regs. Any AutoCAD Electrical Experience would also be an advantage.
