We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Electrical/Mechanical Fitter

to join our growing team in the

rail sector

. You'll play a key role in assembling, installing, and maintaining critical systems on rail vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:



Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components on trains, trams, or rail carriages. Fit wiring looms, control panels, HVAC units, motors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems. Conduct functional and safety testing of completed assemblies. Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams. Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used. Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

What We're Looking For:



NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in rail, automotive, agricultural, or heavy engineering environments. Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, and safety-critical components. Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable Skills:



Knowledge of rail industry standards (e.g., EN 15085, RIS-2700-RST). Experience with PLCs, diagnostics, or control systems. Rail-specific certifications (e.g., PTS, Sentinel). Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

Pay: 38,000.00-42,000.00 per year
