We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Electrician to join our team in Andover in a hands-on role focused on the testing, maintenance, and servicing of electrical systems and equipment. Working independently, you will ensure all electrical plants and equipment meet current safety standards and regulatory requirements. This is a practical, technical position where you will perform testing, refurbishment, assembly, and inspection of single and three-phase equipment, cables, and connectors. You will conduct pre- and post-hire equipment servicing while maintaining full compliance with the 18th edition electrical regulations. A company van will be provided to support your daily operations, enabling you to work efficiently and maintain high standards of workmanship across all assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Test single and three-phase electrical equipment to ensure safety and compliance with current standards.
Assemble, test, and inspect cables and connectors for quality and safety.
Conduct pre-hire and post-hire equipment servicing and comprehensive testing.
Test and evaluate temporary electrical equipment for functionality and safety.
Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
Ensure all work meets the 18th edition electrical regulations and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate records of testing, installation, and servicing activities.
Identify and report any electrical hazards or equipment defects promptly.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, safety-conscious, and confident working independently. You should bring practical experience in construction or industrial electrical environments, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. Your technical expertise and reliability will be essential to success in this role.
Experience & Expertise Required:
Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
Knowledge of, and demonstrated compliance with, current electrical safety standards.
Practical experience with installation and testing of single and three-phase equipment.
Experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting cables and connectors.
Experience conducting equipment servicing and pre-hire/post-hire testing procedures.
