Fortress is friendly medium size and rapidly growing company and part of the Churches Fire and Security Group with a fantastic opportunity for the right people with the right attitude, to grow within the organisation. We currently have around 40 engineers across multiple disciplines and are committed to continued growth, development and training for the people with the "right stuff".

We are looking to recruit a fully qualified electrician/approved electrician to carry out installation, maintenance, repair and testing duties as required from a broad customer base ranging from domestic and commercial to public sector works. As a fully qualified electrician you will also need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a positive "can do, will do" attitude. Our work ranges from public sector and small commercial installation work, domestic and a small amount of commercial EICR, external lighting projects and new build wiring.

As an electrician, you'll also need a driving licence, strong interpersonal skills and a positive 'can do, will do' attitude.

Most of our work is based in Ayrshire and Glasgow and our offices and stores are based in Kilmarnock. Please consider your proximity to both our offices and where the work is likely to be prior to making your application. Applicants residing outside a 30 - 40 mile radius of Kilmarnock are unlikely to be considered.

Hours of work are Monday through Thursday 8am - 5.00pm and 8am - 2.30pm Friday

Rates of pay are competitive (between 26,000 and 47,000 depending on experience and ability) but be aware that we run a meritocracy so the better you are, the higher up the pay scale you go. Everyone starts lower on the pay scale than they end up. Appraisals are conducted twice per year, and you are guaranteed a pay review at least once per year.

C&G 2382-22: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

C&G 2391-52: Inspection and Testing (or equivalent Select)

Full Clean UK Driving License

Valid ECS card
