Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Electrician to join our team. The Site Electrician is responsible for carrying out electrical installations, repairs, and testing in compliance with BS 7671, NICEIC standards, and company requirements. Working primarily within the social housing sector, the role includes 1st and 2nd fix work, Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), EV charger installations, and general electrical maintenance. The Site Electrician reports directly to the Electrical Supervisor, ensuring all work meets technical and safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise within a dynamic and safety-conscious environment. Candidates should possess strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure all work complies with current regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities



Perform 1st and 2nd fix electrical work in social housing properties.

Carry out general electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.

Install EV charging points in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.

Complete EICRs and remedial works as required.

Compliance & Safety



Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and NICEIC standards.

Follow company health and safety policies, including safe isolation procedures and use of PPE.

Complete risk assessments and adhere to RAMS provided by the Electrical Supervisor.

Report any non-compliance or hazards immediately to the Electrical Supervisor.

Testing & Certification



Conduct inspection and testing of electrical installations.

Accurately complete test sheets and submit to the Electrical Supervisor for certification.

Maintain clear records of work completed for audit and compliance purposes.

Skills & Qualifications



NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) desirable.

Experience in social housing electrical work.

Knowledge of EICRs, EV installations, and general electrical repairs.

Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 18.00-21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
