Job Summary

We are seeking a fully qualified electrician to become part of our expanding team. As a thriving renewable energy company, we undertake exciting commercial and residential projects nationwide. Our work encompasses a range of services, including large commercial rooftop Solar PV, residential PV, Commercial & residential EV chargers, and battery storage installations. The ideal candidate will have the skills to install, test, and commission both the AC and DC components of PV systems. Proficiency in fault finding, problem-solving, and a collaborative team spirit are essential.

Employment Package

Salary dependent on experience (salary from 45,000 - 50,000 per year), paid monthly.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday based on 9 hours per day, though occasional weekend work may be required.

Overnight stays will be required depending on location of work.

29 days of holiday, including bank holidays and your birthday.

Work based pension provided where applicable.

Company Vehicle with fuel card.

Overnight Allowance paid.

Responsibilities

Complete Electrical element for Solar PV installations (Commercial & Domestic)

Battery storage installations (Commercial & Domestic)

EV charging installations (Commercial & Domestic)

Experience connecting into MCCB boards & LV panel boards.

Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the latest regulations.

Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to installation teams where needed

Understand wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals.

Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job.

Identifying electrical problems and fault find

Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment

Ability to work on own or part of a team, be able to think outside the box and troubleshoot. Willingness & able to train apprentices /staff on site.

Experience

UK Driving Licence (essential) - No more than 6 points.

Qualified electrician with a minimum of 5 years' experience. (commercial - essential)

City & Guilds 18th Edition (essential)

BS7671, 2391/2 and 2394/5 test & inspection qualifications (desirable)

AM2

Level 3 in Solar Installation / EV Charging / Electrical Installation work (desirable)

C&G 2399-11 Installation of Solar PV or equivalent (preferred)

Valid CSCS (essential)

SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred)

First Aid at work (preferred)

IPAF (essential)

PASMA (essential)

Working at Heights (essential)

Asbestos Awareness (essential)

Manual Handling (essential)
