Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a role with variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of electrical systems? We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Electrician (APE) to join our team and play a key part in maintaining and improving our site infrastructure.





As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for electrical installations, planned and reactive maintenance, testing, and contributing to the design and build of electrical control systems. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic environment where safety, quality and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do.

What You'll Be Doing

Carry out electrical maintenance, installations, testing, and repairs in accordance with current IEE regulations. Support preventive and reactive maintenance activities, including HVAC, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing. Assist in the design and installation of new electrical systems to continually enhance site infrastructure. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime. Produce plans, timescales and costings for upgrades and remedial works. Source replacement parts for obsolete or end-of-life equipment. Use CAFM and helpdesk systems to manage and complete job tasks on time. Issue electrical isolation permits and manage permits to work when required. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and engineering best practice

What We're Looking For

Essential

BS7671:2018 - 18th Edition qualification City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) Experience in plant operations with planned and reactive maintenance Strong communication skills and good IT literacy (Microsoft Excel & Word) Ability to read electrical drawings and understand RAMS Knowledge of electrical control systems and panels

Desirable

City & Guilds 6711 MEWP licence (training available) Unlicensed Asbestos Worker certification (training provided) PLC programming/diagnostics experience (Siemens / Allen Bradley) Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and automation
