Job Summary

Yield Climate Ltd are a hybrid construction, retrofit consultancy and retrofit renewables and heating installer operating throughout England and Wales. We are a small team with vast experience in the ECO industry and retrofit sector. An exciting opening for a temporary to full time position has become available for a qualified electrician to join the company. The main role within the first few months will be to upgrade fans within houses receiving internal or external wall insulation. Check the condition of the electrics and produce minor electrical certificates backed by our company accreditation status through our building control nofificatoin portals.

Scope for Development

Yield Climate Ltd T/A ViewPoitnEnergy is MCS registered for installation of air source heat pumps and solar pv as-well as fabric and insulation. There will be scope to manage teams of installers within the company as the company expands into a hiring phase in the next 6 - 12 months.

Roles such as Manager, Inspector as-well as training positions in ventilation and air pulse, background and air tightness testing internally will become available rendering the support of our primary in house electrician valuable to all key parts of the business.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to identify faults and implement effective solutions. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete installations accurately. Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely. Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and repairs carried out for compliance purposes. Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks associated with electrical work. Provide feedback and updates to the support and compliance team Provide feedback and support to the booking and scheduling team Keep an organised inventory of materials purchased and stored

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety standards. Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws. Demonstrable electrical experience in commercial or industrial environments is preferred. Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance are highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
