Job Summary
As a fully qualified and skilled Electrician for IDM Energy, you will be a key member of our field operations team, responsible for a wide variety of reactive and planned maintenance, installations, and project work in commercial facilities and domestic properties. The core purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality craftsmanship, achieving a "first-time fix" where possible. You will work efficiently to budgets and instructions, consistently upholding the company's high standards for safety and quality while embodying our core values.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Installation & Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including new circuits, consumer units, lighting, and power systems.
Perform both reactive and planned electrical maintenance to ensure safety and functionality.
Carry out full and partial electrical rewires in a range of properties.
Inspection & Testing
Conduct thorough fault-finding and diagnostics on electrical systems.
Perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and PAT testing.
Ensure all work complies with current IET wiring regulations (BS 7671).
Operational Duties
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
Complete detailed job reports for every site visit using the company's job management app.
Take full responsibility for managing on-site materials, any provided company vehicle, and using client systems when required.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on-site and work collaboratively alongside other trades.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
A formal qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ Level 3, or time-served equivalent).
Must be qualified to BS 7671 18th Edition wiring regulations.
A valid ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) Card.
Inspection and Testing qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2391) are highly desirable.
A minimum of 2 years of time-served experience in a similar, multi-faceted role.
A full, valid UK Driving Licence.
The successful candidate must be able to pass Disclosure Scotland and/or Police vetting checks as a requirement for client site access.

Call outs:
From time to time you may be asked to attend out of hours call outs at short notice.
