Job Summary



The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices. The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all electrical work meets regulatory standards and client specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities:



Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment, systems, and facilities Conduct routine inspections and testing to identify electrical issues and prevent breakdowns Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, and implement corrective actions Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems Collaborate with other tradespeople, engineers, and technicians to ensure safe and efficient work practices Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging environments as required Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and inspection reports Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up to date with industry developments and best practices

Qualifications & Experience



Education:



Certification:



o Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certification is highly advantageous

o Relevant electrical qualification

Experience:



o A minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical installation and maintenance

o Hands-on experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical systems

o Must have experience with maintenance tasks, including fault finding, repair, and servicing of electrical systems and equipment

o Be competent in testing and inspection of electrical installations, including knowledge of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and PAT Testing

Knowledge:



o Deep understanding of electrical theory and practices, including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).

o Possess a solid knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant safety standards, which would be advantageous.

Skills:



o Should possess experience in identifying electrical faults and promptly applying effective and safe solutions.

o Have an ability to communicate effectively with our customers, colleagues, including explaining technical issues

Technology:



o Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and communication tools.

o Have familiarity with power tools and machinery and their safety features
