Domestic Electrician with clear career progression opportunity to management.
Our new service division is looking for an experienced electrician to join our firm on a long term basis with clear career progression opportunities to eventually move into management. We require someone who wishes to develop this side of our business and grow with it into a management role off the tools.
Your role will initially be to service multiple small domestic style jobs for 3 months on a flat rate of 22/hour. This time will be spent getting to know how we work and how we treat out clients carrying out small repairs and maintenance across Glasgow. Your role will be to to carry out works and develop the division with suggestions and ideas.
After 3 months success in the role would require you to then become the company NICEIC QS and see an increase to 24/Hour. This stage would involve potentially one office based day. The role will be heavily involved in the recruitment of other electricians, who you will help manage.
Any further qualifications and training can be provided.
After 12 Months of successful progression the successful candidate would become the Head Of Service Electrician and progress to 25/hour with other electricians under their management.
The final stage would be to move to full time management of this department and be office based to oversee multiple operatives with clear KPI's and financial incentives.
You must have a positive attitude, a strong focus on customer service and most importantly be able to work on own initiative, problem solve on site and require little instruction for basic jobs. Good management skills are key and the ability to communicate effectively with other team mates, clients and office staff.
Testing experience is essential, and must be able to carry out full tests on domestic environments. Experience of using basic
Duties will include;
- Small works ranging from lighting installs to socket additions etc
- Aftercare services, small changes and fixes
- Testing and site surveying, checking for poor electrics and unsafe installations.
- Spot checks on completed works.
- Carrying out jobbing works as separate projects with bonus incentives
- General help with logistical operations
- Client communication in relation to technical aspects of works.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to operate NICEIC software and Scheduling Software.
New van supplied and all plant tools and equipment issued.
