Home Fix Scotland (HFS) is an experienced building and maintenance company based in Greenock, and we are currently recruiting for a skilled and qualified

Electrician

to join our Repairs and Maintenance team.

This is a key operational role, where you will use your trade expertise to deliver high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, and planned works, ensuring our homes are maintained to the highest standards and customers receive excellent service.

37 hours per week

Hours of work:

Mon to Thurs 8am to 4.30pm and Fri 8.00am to 1.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and planned programme works to the highest standards. Ensure compliance with BS7671 and IEE Regulations (17th Edition). Diagnose and remedy a wide range of property defects efficiently. Order and manage materials on-site to maximise efficiency. Use mobile devices and IT systems to record and update job progress. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including safe working at height and asbestos awareness. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition and report defects promptly. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring tenants and residents are kept informed. Contribute to continuous improvement and productivity targets within the team.

What We're Looking For:

Completed City & Guilds apprenticeship or equivalent qualification. Qualified in line with BS7671 and suitably certified for electrical works. Current ECS card. Demonstrable experience in the building/construction industry. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and MEWP/PASMA training. Asbestos awareness and general health and safety knowledge. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers. IT literacy, including use of mobile devices. Full UK driving licence.
