Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, along with practical experience in handling electrical components. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.

Duties

Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with relevant regulations and standards. Troubleshoot electrical issues using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent faults and ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute installation and repair tasks accurately. Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments and method statements. Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects within deadlines. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters. Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters safely and effectively. Solid electrical experience with a thorough understanding of wiring systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults efficiently. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to safety protocols. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Pay: 15.84-24.81 per hour
