Responsibilities
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively to minimise downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete projects accurately.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to carry out installation and repair tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, promoting a safe working environment.
Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc., for precise electrical work.
Experience with power tools required for installation and maintenance tasks.
Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of wiring systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while adhering to safety standards.
