Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial, and industrial settings (minimal residential work may be required). Working with wiring, lighting, and other electrical components, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. You will diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, and may also be involved in new construction projects or upgrades to existing systems
Key Responsibilities:
Installing electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, circuit breakers, and other components in buildings
Performing regular maintenance inspections, identifying and repairing electrical faults, and replacing old or faulty equipment
Testing electrical systems to diagnose issues and ensure they meet safety standards, then applying solutions
Interpreting technical drawings to understand the layout of electrical systems
Working in compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer standards
Communicating with clients, providing assessments, and explaining electrical issues.
Working with other tradespeople and technicians, sometimes under supervision.
Installing and terminating various types of cable containment systems like trunking, tray, and conduit

Qualifications & Experience:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
NVQ Level 3/QQI Level 6/ Electrical Craft Card or equivalent
Must hold IPAF.
Must have a current & valid Safe Pass/CSR.
Current Abrasive Wheels Certificate (desirable).
Current Manual handling Certificate (desirable).
Current Working at Height Certificate (desirable).

Strong ability to work on own initiative
Must have a Driving License & access to own transport
Must have own tools
Must be competent in reading & working from site drawings
