Job Description

Our company is a family run business with over 20 years experience in our sector. We are based in the East Midlands and due to the number of new upcoming projects, we require an Electrician, to work nationwide.

In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you must have a full UK driving licence and own vehicle and be willing to travel, work flexible and unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical projects. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws to complete installations. Measure electrical parameters with tools like ohmmeters and ammeters to diagnose issues effectively. Work on construction sites performing wiring for new builds or upgrades of existing systems. Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety regulations. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry when necessary for project completion. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Experience with construction site work is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, ammeters, and schematics reading. Knowledge of NEC standards and safety procedures related to electrical work. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Valid license or certification is required. Construction site experience is highly desirable.
