Bennett Electrical is growing, and we're looking for an experienced

Electrician

to join our team.

This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and forward-thinking electrical company, working on some of the UK's leading renewable and commercial projects.

The Role

You will lead a small team responsible for the supply and installation of AC distribution systems supporting perimeter security on utility-scale solar farms.

Your time will be split between:

Workshop-based work: Preparing and building electrical distribution equipment in our Northampton warehouse.

On-site installation: Installing and commissioning equipment at sites across the UK.

You'll also support a range of local commercial and high-end residential projects, bringing variety to your workload.

Please note

: Some projects will require staying away from home for 3-5 days at a time.

Key Responsibilities

Leading installation teams on site

Planning, building, and pre-wiring:

o Single and three-phase distribution boards

o Generator changeover switches

o Small power and lighting systems

On-site installation, connection, testing, and certification of prebuilt systems

Fault finding and diagnostics on live systems

Accurate use of job management and certification software

Requirements

Full UK Driving License

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrotechnical Systems or Electrical Installation

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

Inspection & Testing qualification

ECS Gold Card

Minimum 5 years' experience in the electrical industry
