Job Summary

At Morton & Jones Ltd we are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. This is a part time role 2 or 3 days per week.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The Electrician will ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.

The work will mainly be within electrical substations and will consist of Electrical Remedial Works, Small Electrical Installations & Electrical Maintenance.

You must be fully qualified & graded as an Electrician with a full UK Driving Licence.
Transport to & from our main site will be provided.
Pay range will be according to experience and qualifications/grade.

You will be required to hold an ECS/CSCS Card (help can be given)
You will be required to undertake suitable authorisation to enter and work in an electrical substation - we shall arrange this.
You will be DBS checked - we will undertake this

Duties

Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with the latest regulations. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as necessary. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or issues. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.

Skills

Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to electrical work. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
