Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced Electrician to join our small, friendly team either as a Sub-contractor or on a permanent basis (subject to a 3 month probation). You will be covering domestic, commercial and industrial electrical testing, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, installations and rewires.

You will be experienced in carrying out EICR testing and completing the test certificates within domestic, commercial and industrial buildings.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works ECS Card (17th/18th) Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation AM2 (or equivalent) City & Guilds 2391 testing and inspection (or equivalent) Full UK Driving License Recent work references Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

The ideal candidate will preferably have:

Have very good understanding of BS7671 and testing procedures Be able to complete NICEIC certificates Have good knowledge of H&S practices Have good communication skills Have experience of working in a customer focused environment Be well presented Be able to work as part of a team and be confident to work alone Be able to pass a DBS check Asbestos Awareness Ideally have own tools and transport although this can be discussed.
The majority of our contracts are based in and around Plymouth but some travel around Devon and Cornwall may be required.

Working Hours: Standard hours are from 0800-16:30 Monday to Friday (40 hours a week) with the option of occasional pre-planned overtime.
