Job Description

AWH Electrical Ltd are looking for an experienced JIB Grade / Approved electrician to be a part of a nationwide company. Working within a commercial sector, you will form a critical part of projects, supporting the electrical team. You will meet the company standards, industry specifications and provide 5customer service.

Duties / Key responsibilities

Install, Maintain and repair electrical systems in the commercial buildings sector. Inspect electrical installations to identify issues and troubleshoot malfunctions. Read technical diagrams / drawings to determine wiring layouts. Ensure all electrical work complies with BS7671 Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites. Carrying out a varying scope of electrical installation works, remedial works or reactive maintenance to commercial buildings including but not limited to: Restaurant / pubs, New commercial units and Shop fitting. Working away from home essential. (Working away is project specific)

Qualifications

Essential

Time served JIB registered electrician NVQ level 3 in electrical installations 18th edition IET wiring regulations JIB Gold card Full UK driving licence Ability to work away from home.

Desirable

C&G 2391 electrical inspection and testing JIB Approved grade Fire alarm experience

Experience

Thorough understanding of electrical regulations and ability to interpret into practical hands on application in commercial environments.Installation of all forms of cable and containment, including SWA, metal trunking, cable tray and conduit.LED lighting upgrades and emergency lighting installations.Experience working in the fast pace commercial sector.

Summary

As a Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various commercial settings. Reporting to the QS, you will utilise your core skills in hand tools, power tools, and electrical experience to ensure optimal functionality and safety of the installations. By applying your skills effectively, you will contribute to the efficiency and productivity of our operations while adhering to safety standards and protocols.

Schedule

Minimum 8.5 hr day, 12 hour days expected on occasion when projects require.

Rates

Rates of pay negotiable depending on qualifications and previous experience.

Monday - Friday.
Overtime available on Weekends.
