About the Role

OJS Construction Ltd are seeking a competent and fully qualified electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for carrying out a range of electrical works across our residential and commercial projects -- including fire alarm installations, additional socket and lighting points, consumer unit upgrades, and general fault finding or remedial works.

You'll work alongside our multi-trade teams to deliver high-quality workmanship in line with current regulations, company standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and commission fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and small power circuits.

Carry out additional socket and lighting installations, rewires, and remedial works. Perform testing, inspection, and certification of completed installations (EIC, EICR, Minor Works). Diagnose and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently. Ensure all works comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and relevant health & safety standards. Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other trades. Maintain accurate job records and submit certification promptly.
Requirements

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification. 2391 (or equivalent) Testing & Inspection qualification essential. Experience installing fire alarm systems preferred. Valid ECS / JIB Gold Card. Full UK driving licence and own tools/transport. Strong attention to detail and a proactive, reliable attitude.
