About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician with a strong background in conducting

Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)

. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality inspection, testing, and reporting services for a variety of domestic, commercial, and industrial clients.

This is a field-based role, requiring travel to multiple sites, so a

full UK driving licence

is essential. While the majority of work will be across the home counties, occasional overnight stays may be required depending on other project locations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) to the highest professional standards. Diagnose electrical issues and provide clear, accurate reporting and recommendations. Perform remedial works where required, ensuring compliance with current regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant legislation. Work independently, managing your time and workload effectively. Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure all health, safety, and company policies are adhered to.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing qualification. Proven experience carrying out EICRs. Strong knowledge of current wiring regulations (18th Edition BS 7671). Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Willingness to occasionally stay away from home as required.

Desirable Skills

Experience in both domestic and commercial EICRs. Additional qualifications (e.g. AM2, PAT testing, ECS Gold Card). Strong IT skills for digital reporting software.
