Solar PV | EV Charging | Battery Storage

Treadlighter Ltd is a specialist battery storage and rooftop Solar PV Installer, based in London SW18 5JL. We have been installing Solar PV Systems for fourteen years. We are a professional and agile company with a client list second to none with a goal of building a sustainable workforce. We predominantly work throughout Greater London & the SE in both the commercial & domestic sectors.

Summary:

You will be required on an ad hoc basis, ideally as an extra job/client to your existing electrical installation business. You will be responsible for installing and testing Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Storage (BS) systems at domestic (and/or commercial properties), according to a detailed project specification. We can provide a trainee/junior electrician to work alongside you, if required. You will Initially be supervised with on-site training by our existing electrical and engineering team.

Specific qualifications for PV or EV systems are useful but as not a pre-requisite as all necessary on-site training will be arranged to cover the equipment we install.

Pre-requisite Knowledge:

The electrician must :

Be a fully qualified electrician with current hands-on experience of working to BS7671 in a domestic (and/or commercial setting) for a minimum of 3 years.

Hold an ECS or equivalent HSE card permitting access to commercial sites.

Hold a full UK driving license & have their own van.

Job Details:

Every PV and/or Battery installation job comprises a series of the activities set out below. Based upon a detailed requirements specification the electrician must be able to complete all of these tasks unsupervised, safely and to a high standard.

Activities:

Understand the requirements and components required to deliver against the specification.

Test the circuits and components in a suitable way and liaise with the client or their electrical contractor (standard BS7671 circuit tests).

Recording the test values in a simple app (which will be provided) for all of the associated test readingst to ensure that the system complies with the laterst BS7671 requirements

Where relevant ensure that all labelling of the components is in accordance with MCS and BS7671 guidelines.

Document with photographs all of the installed components and ensure that the site is left tidy.

Report progress on a daily basis for overall job management, using a simple app.

Pay: 250.00 per day
