Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems and tools. This role involves working on construction sites, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and ensuring compliance with BS7671. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. The project will be in a prison so ability to achieve security clearance.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other equipment to perform electrical tasks. Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all installations and repairs. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or hazards. Collaborate with construction teams to integrate electrical systems into building projects. Troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrician in both industrial and commercial settings. Strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other relevant equipment. Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work. Experience reading blueprints and schematics effectively. Background in construction site work is preferred. Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks as needed for installations. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
