Job Opportunity: Qualified Electrician

We are seeking three fully qualified and approved electricians to join our team. This role involves a variety of electrical installation and support tasks essential to our energy efficiency initiatives.

About the Role

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

- Installing DMEV fans in kitchens and bathrooms.

- Assisting insulation teams in relocating lighting and socket fixtures.

- Supporting heating engineers in the electrical aspects of heat pump installations.

- Completing Solar PV installations, including wiring, connections, and performance testing to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.

This position requires travel to domestic properties across England and Wales, where electricians will carry out installations, capture installation photographs for documentation, and issue Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) and/or Minor Works Certificates to property occupiers.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and fixtures.

- Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions.

- Conduct electrical inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.

- Interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints to meet project requirements.

- Install and test electrical equipment, including lighting systems, HVAC systems, and electrical outlets.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot electrical systems proactively.

- Install, connect, and test Solar PV systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.

- Operate tools such as power drills, screwdrivers, wire cutters, and other specialised equipment.

- Collaborate with other trade professionals and contractors to ensure installations meet required specifications.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.

- Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols, ensuring all procedures align with industry standards.

- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to apprentices as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

- A motivated and skilled electrician with at least three years of experience.

- NVQ Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent).

- BS7671 18th Edition Qualification.

- 2391/2392/2394 Inspection & Testing Qualification.

- A full, clean UK driving license is essential.

- Experience or knowledge of renewable heating wiring is preferred but not essential.

- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.

- Previous experience in field-based operations.

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating initiative, drive, and professionalism.

- Strong organisational and operational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Good decision-making skills and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.

- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.
