Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques to identify faults efficiently
Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future failures
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out
Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
Experience with power tools relevant to electrical installation and repair tasks
Strong electrical experience with a thorough understanding of wiring systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures within the workplace
