CableTronics Limited started trading in 1997 and makes Cable Forms, populates PCBs, and builds electronic and mechanical assemblies and systems.

Essential:
The successful applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in either an electronic or mechanical assembly environment.
Be able to read circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, and mechanical drawings and follow written procedures.
Know how to assemble and mount various components, identify and terminate wires and build precision mechanisms.
A good knowledge of engineering materials and their properties, along with familiarity with modern manufacturing techniques, would be desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities:
To build, construct, populate and wire electrical assemblies, panels and enclosures using various hand tools, automated equipment and jigs.
To manufacture and terminate integral wiring looms and harnesses of various complexity in accordance with customers' wiring schedules, drawings, samples, or procedures.
To carry out mechanical assembly, which may involve drilling, tapping and sawing, along with component mounting (some of which may be very heavy and dirty), whilst identifying, wiring and terminating all components and cables.
Testing of various products built, recording results for historical reference and helping dispatch goods. Any other duties considered relevant to the above.
Work will be repetitive,
though, depending upon your abilities and attitude, other work may be available in the future.
Experience:
An absolute minimum of 2 years in an assembly position, and a good understanding of both electronic and mechanical practices and principles is essential.
Holiday/Lunch:
Successful applicants will be entitled to 20 working days' holidays, plus all public holidays. Two 10-minute paid breaks, "Tea & Coffee is provided free of charge".
Sickness:
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) will be provided by the employers at the appropriate rate. This will only be paid on days you would typically work.
Hours:
Working hours are ideally 9.00 am to 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility would be considered. Overtime may be available; however, it is at the employer's discretion.
