Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Electro Mechanical Assembler for a 9 month contract starting in January. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of electrical components and assembly techniques. The Electro Mechanical Assembler is a key part of the production team, responsible for the assembly of one of our products destined for the medical industry. This role is critical to ensuring that product is manufactured on time, in full and meets the performance, quality and reliability standards. There is the possibility of a full time role after the initial contract has been fulfilled.

Responsibilities



Assembly and Production



Assemble electrical and mechanical components and cabling based on drawings, and work instructions. Operate tools and equipment such as soldering irons, crimpers and wire strippers. Perform mechanical assembly, including bonding components and securing hardware. Wiring and electrical assembly in accordance with work instructions, drawings and schematics Some test and validation activities including overall dimensions, wiring and crimp checks Operating equipment to facilitate processing of product through manufacturing. Meeting production output rates as communicated by production line management Meeting quality expectations as defined in product specifications

Documentation and Reporting



Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, assembly logs, and inspection reports. Report any defects, discrepancies, or process issues to the production supervisor or quality team.

Quality Standards and Procedural Control



Maintain quality standards and procedural controls within the area of responsibility, as specified by the Quality Management System.

Key Skills and Experience



Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally within electrical production Experience soldering, and other electrical assembly techniques Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and other documentation Strong attention to detail Proficiency in using assembly tools and equipment. Good manual dexterity for handling small components. Positive, self-motivated and committed to achieving objectives
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: 13.25-13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 37.75 per week
