ASSEMBLY OPERATOR

We are seeking a full time candidate with electronic assembly and technical skills to work in an expanding team.

The working hours are:

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm, 37.5hrs per week.

Times may be flexible dependant on suitability of the candidate

Common duties may include:

Assembling different electronic components using hand tools and soldering irons.

Drilling and basic machining on plastic/metal enclosures using machine tools such as pillar-drills.

Testing products to strict testing methods / Quality Control.

Packing goods for dispatch

What Does it Take?

You need to be:

good at working with your hands (you will be given a test during the interview) willing to learn new skills and procedure have some experience with working with electronic products and measurement equipment
You need to be able to:

cope with repetitive work follow instructions closely handle small components safely handle machining equipment such as drills work quickly and accurately under pressure work well in a team and alone.

Training

All training is proivided on the job.

Contrel Ltd specialises in the manufacture and supply of custom electronic controls and systems. We design electronic assemblies to fit the needs of our customers and build these in batches. We have many years of experience and make open printed circuit board assemblies, encapsulated circuits, cased controls and hand-held units. Our products include heater controls, timers, signal transmitters, refrigeration controllers, signal converters and conditioners, motor speed controls, medical LED controls, ventilation and pressures controls.

Following a recent acquisition of another electronic controls business called Chromalock Limited, we operate in a combined located next to the Golf Driving Range in Hemingford Abotts.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 16.50 per hour
