As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in turning concepts into market-ready products -- designing electronic systems that integrate seamlessly with mechanical, firmware, and software components.
This is a hands-on position where your designs will directly impact residents' safety, delivering IoT-enabled solutions that improve compliance, efficiency, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electronic circuits, PCBs, and power systems for Auro's smart compliance products
Produce detailed schematics, layouts, and technical documentation packages including specifications, BOMs, and test procedures
Specify and source electrical components to ensure suitability, reliability, and compliance
Support design for manufacturability and assembly for both prototype and volume production
Carry out validation testing to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards (EMC, LVD, safety testing)
Work closely with mechanical, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration
Partner with suppliers, PCB fabricators, and assembly houses to maintain quality and readiness
Contribute to product validation, compliance, and certification processes
Establish and support PLM best practices including version control and change management
What We're Looking For
Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline
2+ years' experience in electrical/electronic design
Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad)
Strong understanding of circuit design, power management, and communication interfaces (LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi)
Experience producing technical documentation and production packages with accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of compliance testing and certification processes
Self-motivated with strong project management skills and ability to work independently
Technical Expertise
Knowledge of real-world installation conditions and electrical constraints
Experience with PLM systems and design validation processes
Familiarity with EMC testing, QC methodologies, and production workflows (prototype to scale-up)
Desirable Skills
Experience with IoT device development and low-power system design
Knowledge of regulatory standards in fire safety, emergency lighting, or access control
Experience with firmware/hardware integration and debugging
Hands-on prototyping skills (breadboarding, soldering, test equipment use)
