We are looking for an electrical/electronic Engineer or Physicist with the ability to analyse customer needs and develop and implement design solutions for their applications. It is important that they should have a strong sense of customer focus and be able to prioritise multiple competing tasks. This requires an excellent ability to work co-operatively as part of a team and a willingness to learn new skills and develop professionally.
This role will be suited to a bright and diligent individual who is looking for an opportunity to learn and develop skills in electronics assembly. The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level (or equivalent standard in physics or electrical engineering) with a keen desire to develop a career in this field. Experience of designing and making electric current measuring equipment that is used to control processes, systems and machinery would be preferred.
Full training will be provided in this role although experience of soldering and electronics assembly is essential.
Dexterity and the ability to pay close attention to detail are essential. A flexible approach to work within a team, with a willingness to be proactive and adaptable between a range of tasks will also be necessary for success in this position.

Duties
a) To design, produce and test electronic components and products to specifications and requirements.
b) To provide technical expertise and problem solving skills to investigate and diagnose faults.
c) To carry out development and research to improve electric current measuring products and services as required.
d) To analyse customer needs and determine electric current measuring solutions for their applications.
e) To develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
f) To inspect electronic equipment, instruments and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
g) To ensure timely and accurate provision of goods and maintaining stock levels.
h) To be a point of reference for technical advice for customers and Rocoil employees as required.
i) To be familiar with and adhere to Rocoil's policies and procedures including health and safety and data protection.
j) You may also be requested to perform other duties commensurate with your position and skills e.g. co-ordinate projects, database entry, training. Any additional training required will be provided.

Minimum of 2 years working with electronics engineering (as a hobbyist or as a career)
Hands on practical experience of electronics assembly.

Education/Qualifications
Essential
Undergraduate degree (or equivalent e.g. military qualification, or 2 years experience working in electronics design) in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Physics.
